John Henry Steakhouse- ‘The Forge’

 

 

This was a very interesting building which was originally a forge. It had been extended in various ways and used as a restaurant and a bar, with a flat above. We converted the property into three new dwellings, improving it but keeping the exterior virtually the same, so it still complemented the street scene. We turned the property into a one-bed flat, a two-bed house and a three-bed house with courtyard.

20 South Farm Road

 

A three-storey Victorian building that had been derelict for around 15 years. Part of it was used as a squat. Two other developers had tried to restore it but had soon given up. We took up the challenge, and painstakingly brought the building back to life. We converted it into three flats and a ground-floor shop. One investor bought the whole property from us and now runs a coffee shop there.
